Samuel Fennell

Samuel Jack “Sam” Fennell, age 57 of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Gulfport.

Sam was born in Jacksonville, Florida on April 27, 1964, to Jack Lloyd Fennell and Sarah Ellen (Awbrey) Fennell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Isabella Paisley Fennell.

Sam is survived by his wife of 30 Years, Laurie Caldwell Fennell of Gulfport; his children, Lauren (Alexis) Fennell of Gulfport, Alex Fennell (Lindsey) of Gulfport, Daniel (Savannah) Caldwell of Ocean Springs, Kelli (Cory) Caldwell of Biloxi, and Sarah Stallings of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Molly Kate Caldwell, Brayden Fennell, Andon Nevarez, John Patrick Caldwell, Liam Caldwell, Abigail Fennell, Avery Fennell, and Amelia-Jane Caldwell; his sisters, Carol (John) Garner of San Diego and Ellenetta Marshall of Long Beach; his nieces and nephews, Amanda ( Joseph) St. Lucus, John (Beverly) Garner, and Phillip (Merissa) Marshall; and his great nieces and nephews, Mino, Jack, Gunner, Carol, Thea, and Ryder.

Sam owned and operated Sam Fennell Sheetmetal Manufacturing. Sam started the company with his father, Jack in 1986. Sam and Jack were the dynamic duo until Jack passed away in 2008. Sam continued the father and son legacy with his son, Alex.

Sam was a man of many talents, but his best talent was being an amazing husband, dad, papa, uncle, son, brother, and friend. He was the life of the party, and never met a stranger; everyone was family to him. He loved to play golf, go fishing, go camping, ride rollercoasters, travel, drink Bud light, and aggravate his wife. Sam loved to spend time with his kids and even more time with his grandkids.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Long Beach, with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
