Samuel David Crawley, age 36, of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Sammy proudly and honorably served his country in the U. S. Navy for 10 years. He began his service as an aviation ordinance man supporting combat missions in the middle east aboard the USS Enterprise. Sammy also took part in humanitarian relief efforts aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln following the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004. Upon Cross-rating to become a construction mechanic in the U.S. Navy Seabees in 2008, he completed a tour of duty in Kuwait. In 2010, Sammy completed a combat tour of duty in Afghanistan where he was a vehicle commander completing over 200 missions in support of counter insurgency operations. Following discharge from the Navy he resided in Loveland, Colorado with his wife, Chrystal, their son, Marshal and his father, Ken.

In 2009, Sammy made the life saving decision to donate bone marrow. Following a successful transplant, his recipient and her family created a foundation to help others in Puerto Rico diagnosed with blood cancers. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the foundation at:

Sammy is survived by his wife of 15 years, Chrystal Crawley; his father, Kenneth Crawley; his mother, Cecilia Bardes; his son, Marshal Gordon; his brother, Joshua Rodriguez (Johanna) and their daughter Rain; his sister, Melissa Crawley and her son Elijah; and his aunt Judy Bryant.
Preceding him in death is his grandfather, C.L. Crawley & his 1st wife Faye and his 2nd wife, Clara (grandma); his uncles, Giles Bryant, Jerry and Clark; and his cousins, Christy and Troy.
Friends are invited to join the family on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Then at 11:30 a.m. there will be a time of remembrance and sharing. This will be followed by a Graveside Service at 12:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
