Mrs. Sallie C. Preston, age 81, of Steep Hollow, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2008 in Steep Hollow.
Mrs. Preston was born in Bogalusa, LA and raised her family in New Orleans, LA. She had lived in Pass Christian for 30 years. She was a homemaker, a great cook, and especially enjoyed family gatherings.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John C. Preston; her sister, Polly Creel; and her parents, Charles Joseph and Alice Smith Lorence.
Mrs. Preston is survived by her children: John Edward Preston and wife Andrea of Costa Mesa, CA, Sharon C. Youmans and husband Brent, of Steep Hollow, and Paul G. Preston and wife Tara of New Orleans; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
All friends and loved ones are invited to share their memories of Mrs. Preston at the home of Brent & Sharon Youmans on Sunday, January 20, 2008, January 20, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
