Sabrina Louise Corelli Doukas, 63, was born February 28th, 1960, in Gulfport, and was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. On September 8th, 2023, Sabrina unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord. She will be missed without measure, and will always be our ray of sunshine even on the most cloudy of days.
Sabrina graduated from Long Beach High School and spent her time in property management until her health declined. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Gulfport. Her involvement in community outreach was one of the many ways she chose to spend her time, helping those in need.
Sabrina had a close family, but she adored and doted on her daughter, Morgan, most of all. She was a mother first in her life, and Morgan’s achievements today prove just how committed Sabrina was to being a mother. In her free time, Sabrina enjoyed strolling along the water at Jones Park, dining at Harbor View Café, reading John Grisham books, gardening, and watching true crime investigation shows. She loved spending time with her beloved miniature schnauzer, Binky Lou, who has been a cherished member of the family for the past twelve years.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Doukas, whom she had immense respect and affection for. She is survived by her daughter, Morgan Doukas; her father, John Doukas, Sr; her sister, Ann (Jeff) Hiestand; her brother, Michael Doukas, Jr; her nephews, Justin Ford and Ryan Ford; her great niece, Cameran Savner; her great nephew, Beckham Ford; and many other family and friends who loved her.
Sabrina will always be remembered as a beautiful soul who exemplified kindness and optimism in all facets of her life. She was tenacious and had a strong spirit, and she met any challenge life posed her with unmatched grace. She will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
At Sabrina’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, she asked that friends and loved ones donate to the local Humane Society in her honor.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16 KJV
