Ruth Joyce Alexander

Ruth Joyce Beech Alexander, age 90, of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022, in Gulfport.

Mrs. Alexander was a native and long-time resident of Long Beach. She worked for the Long Beach School District for 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Alexander; her son, Danny Ray Barrett; her parents, Willie and Ida Beech; her 3 sisters, Mildred Salters, Mertis Hammons and Mable Beech; and her brother, Willie Beech.  Survivors include her 3 daughters, Becky Willette (Jeff), Cynthia Bland (Mark) and Tammy Bryant (Jessie); her sister, Evereeta Franke; her 5 grandchildren, Tonya Lee, Cameron Lewis, Eric Bland, Alyssa Bryant and Savannah Bryant; her 9 great-grandchildren; her 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Friends are invited to join the Alexander family for visitation on Friday, October 14th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, October 15th, visitation will continue from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor John Morris will officiate the service, and serving as pallbearers will be: Jackie Hammons, Michael Beech, David Hammons, Ryan Hayes, Eric Bland and Cameron Lewis.

Mrs. Alexander will be laid to rest at Allen Cemetery.
