Ruth Edna Haas

Ruth E. Haas, age 94, of Kiln, passed away on December 2, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Haas, Jr and a grandson, Jason Stone Dossett.

She is survived by her 2 children, Samuel J. Haas (Aroythe E.) and Rise G. Dossett (Greg); 2 grandchildren, Christopher T. Haas (Trisha) and Samantha L. Haas (Linden); and 3 great-grandchildren, Charlotte Haas, Phoenix Haas, and Astin Linden.

Mrs. Haas was a native of Clermont Harbor and was a longtime resident of the Kiln.  She was the wife of a 27 year U.S. Coast Guard veteran who raised 2 children while he was at sea – she served while he served and was an excellent homemaker for her family.

The family would like to say “thank you” to the many friends who loved and cared for her.  The family would also like to thank Darlene Storey, her final caretaker, and hospice for their special care in her last days.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Monday, December 5, 2022, in Bayou CoCo Cemetery.

The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Kiln DeLisle Rd, is serving the family.
