Ruth L. Prine, 85, of Biloxi, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Prine was preceded in death by her son, Joseph James Prine, Sr.; her parents, Lorenzo Marie, Sr., and Ada Auglar Marie; three brothers, Lorenzo V. Marie, Jr., Rudolph Marie and David Marie, Sr.; and two sisters, Mildred Staley and Rachel Holliman.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John W. Prine, Sr.; her children: son, John W. Prine, Jr. and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Nancy R. Wood and her husband, Eugene; daughter, Patsy Shelton; and daughter, Betty Mastrapa; 10 grandchildren: Wayne Carroll, Jr., Cody Wood, Aubrey Wood, Lisa Rice, Brittni Beard, Sethany LeMasters, Josie Prine, Joseph Prine Jr., Jennifer Upton and John Prine III. ; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Delores Steiner, Mary Steiner and Dorothy Garcia; and one brother, Daniel Marie.
Mrs. Prine was an active member of Saucier Holiness Church where she was a choir member. She was also a member of the Sunshine Sisters Singing Gospel Group. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and her cat, Kitty-cat and grand-dog, Penelope.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will then be held at Free Church of God Cemetery in Gulfport.
