Ruth Kennedy Northrop, a long-time resident of Pass Christian, Miss., died Sunday, February 17 at the age of 76.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Bedford Kennedy and Bonita Brubacher Kennedy of Bolton, Miss.,
Survivors include her husband, Abner """"Buzzy"""" Knight Northrop, Jr. of Pass Christian, daughter Amy (Mike) McGinity of Alexandria, LA,. sons Jamie (Donna) Northrop of Brandon, Miss., Clifton Northrop of Cape Coral, Fla., and Kevin (Tabitha) Northrop of Daphne, Ala., as well as grandchildren Knight (Marlissa) Northrop, Kate Northrop, Meagan, Courtney and Allison McGinity, and Elizabeth Kennedy Northrop. Beloved by family and friends for her strength, liveliness, wit, and kindness, she was a loving grandmother as well as actively involved in the community, particularly with Trinity Episcopal Church and Pass Christian Yacht Club. She will be missed by all those fortunate to have known her.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 23, at noon at Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian.
THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
