Ruth Murch

Ruth Akerlund Murch, 86, formerly of Worcester, MA passed away on March 15, 2007 in Gulfport, MS.
She leaves her husband of 62 years Henry J. Murch, a son, Andrew and his wife Cindy Murch, Worcester, MA, a daughter, Judith and her husband William Elick, Jr., Gulfport, MS, and two grandchildren, Christopher Murch and Kimberly Murch, both of Worcester, MA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edmund Akerlund and sisters, Mae Wahlstrom and Doris Menard.
Born in Worcester, daughter of Gustaf and Agnes Sandsstrom Akerlund, she lived in Worcester most of her life moving to Gulfport in 2004. Mrs. Murch was a longtime, passionate employee of Clark UniversityaÌ‚â‚â„¢s Goddard Library.
She chose cremation and a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131
