Mary Evelyn Hull, age 99, of Pass Christian, died Friday, March 16, 2007 in Gulfport.
She was a native of Sherman, Texas and a longtime resident of New Orleans before moving to Pass Christian 19 years ago. Mrs. Hull was a Catholic convert and a member of Holy Family Parish. She was noted for her good cooking, Sunday dinners, dry wit, and beautiful water colors of Gulf Coast scenes. She was a loving mother and, along with her husband, instilled in her children a strong sense of family and affection for each other.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Hull, a Pascagoula native whom she met in El Paso, TX, where she taught public school art.
Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Adelaide H. Nolan and Harry R. Hull, Jr., both of Pass Christian, Dr. John E. (Denise) Hull, Monroe, LA, James E. (Faye) Hull, Covington, LA, and Mary H. (Tom) Tooker, of Diamondhead, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where friends may visit from 9 -11 am.
Interment will be held at 1 p.m. in Krebs Cemetery, Pascagoula.
