Ruth Dyer

Ruth Moody Dyer, age 86, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Dyer; a son, Charles E. Fayard, Sr; her parents, Charlie and Lettie Moody; and her sisters, Gwendolyn Smith and Nelda Polk.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Fayard of Gulfport and Billy (Josiane) Fayard of Saucier; a grandson, Charles E. (Nikki) Fayard, Jr.; and 2 great-grandchildren, Caroline Grace Fayard and Charles E. Fayard, III.

Mrs. Dyer attended Memphis State University and the University of Southern Mississippi.  She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Wesley Class and Morning Glories.  She loved Jesus and her Sunday School Class.  Ruth loved her children and that was important to her.  She loved to crochet and paint and give what she did to family and friends.

The family would like to thank Megan and Kerri from Care 4 All and would also like to thank Kare in Home Health Care and Hospice.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 10 – 11 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport.  The funeral service will be at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trinity UMC or the Homes of Grace.
