Rudolph """"Rudy"""" Latimer, age 86, of Gulfport died on November 24, 2009 in Gulfport
Mr. Latimer was born in Bay St. Louis on April 20, 1923, but he spent most of his life in Gulfport. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, serving in both the Pacific and European Theaters of war. He was a retired Civil Service employee of the Biloxi Veterans Administration and was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist church of Long Beach.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Luvella Cuevas Latimer; a grandson, Jesse Holland and a sister, Inez Ladner.
Survivors include two children, Pauline Holland of Gulfport (Jack); son Kenny Latimer of Gulfport (Patsy); also by his grandchildren, Melissa Holland, Jackson Holland, Haley Latimer, and Brittany Stevison; two great grandchildren, River Jennings of Holdenville, OK and Izaiah Stevison.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 6pm-8pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday morning at the funeral home chapel and burial will follow at Rotten Bayou Cemetery.
