Rudolph Horace Cuevas, Jr., age 65 and a resident of Kiln, died on Friday, December 12, 2008, in Kiln.
Mr. Cuevas was a native and longtime resident of Hancock County. He retired after 28 years of service as a longshoreman with ILA of Gulfport and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Cuevas was a loving husband, dad and grandfather, and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Cuevas is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph H. Cuevas, Sr. & Evelyn Shiyou Cuevas; his brothers, R.C. Cuevas, Walter Cuevas, and Hubert Cuevas; his sisters, Doris Ladner and Hilma Cuevas; and granddaughter, Jenny Ann Cuevas Henderson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Cuevas, Kiln; daughters, Pam (Rodney) Ladner, Jennifer (David) Cuevas, and Stephanie (Steven) Cuevas, all of Pass Christian; his sons, Kirk Cuevas, Byron Cuevas, of Pass Christian and Travis (Joyce) Cuevas, of Kiln; his sisters, Dorothy (Wallace) Mills, of Perkinston and Verlaine (Lester) Bosarge, of Dedeaux Community; his brothers, Harlan (Ruby) Cuevas, of Poplarville and Morris (Jenny) Cuevas, of Perkinston; 12 grandchildren and 2 expected great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
