Ruby Evelyn Woodcock Daniels, age 90, of Long Beach, passed away on October 19, 2021, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh “James” Daniels; a son, Michael Daniels; her parents, Charles and Odessa Woodcock; her siblings, Gladys Rosetti, Helen Wolfe, R.J. Woodcock, James L. Woodcock, and Cecil Woodcock.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Marice) Stevison, Brenda (Tracy) Wagner, Gary (Deborah) Daniels, and Kimberly (Paul) Sylvia; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Daniels; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Daniels was a long time resident of Long Beach and was a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the wonderful group at Southern Living Assistance especially Robin Hughes Buch and our mom’s dear friend, Jolynn Perrone, for giving her friendship and caring for her. Also, Notre Dame Hospice and all of the wonderful caregivers.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 22, 2021, from 1 – 2 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial Will be celebrated at 2 pm in the church. Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 720 E Beach Blvd, Long Beach, MS 39560, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
