Ruby Taylor Dale of Gulfport, MS died surrounded by her loved ones on December 1, 2018. She was 95 years old.
Ruby is survived by her son, Charles Dale (Debbie) of Gulfport; brother, Elwood Taylor of Wiggins; two grandchildren, Jessica Dale Shook (Darby) and Andrew Dale (Sarah); four great-grandchildren, Garrett Taylor Shook, Aaron Cooper Dale, Dawson Harward Shook, and Lillie Marie Dale; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joe John and Liza Elizabeth Taylor; her husband, Edison A. Dale; her siblings, Estelle Taylor Lott, Lois Taylor Brown, Katie Taylor Nell, Metro Taylor, Dub Taylor, Jo Ann Taylor Smalley and Retha Jean Taylor Lott.
Ruby was born on July 10, 1923 in Wiggins, MS. She worked in the Pickle Factory in Wiggins for several years. She married Edison Alfred Dale on October 26, 1946. They settled in Gulfport where she attended Bayou View Baptist Church, she served and volunteered her time faithfully. She worked as a loving mother, housewife and mentor until her husband's death, and then worked for nine years for the Gulfport School Food Service until her retirement. She enjoyed family time and fellowship with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout her remaining years.
The family would like to thank the staff and Dr. Thomas Blanks of Lakeview Nursing Home for their dedication, fellowship and support while she lived there. Memorial Hospital Nurses and Doctors for their caring and dedication devotion in what they provided. Deaconess Hospice and Nurse for the devotion, dedication, loving care and support given.
A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until 11:00AM on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the funeral home. A burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins, MS.
