Ruby DeShazo Conrad, age 82 and a resident of Bay St. Louis, entered into God's loving arms on Friday, August 22, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Conrad was born on July 1, 1926 in New Orleans, LA, and lived there until retiring to Bay St. Louis, MS, 19 years ago. She retired from Fireman's Fund Insurance Company after 22 years of service.
She was the loving daughter of the late Reginald & Carmell DeShazo, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Reginald, Jr., Harold, Sr., and Pearl Zulli, and her former husband, Robert Moore.
Mrs. Conrad is survived by her loving husband and her teenage sweetheart of 61 years, Robert T. Conrad, Sr. She was the adoring mother to Mrs. Eddie (Joanne Moore) Powell, Robert, Jr., who was also her caregiver, Bruce (Fawn), Mrs. Robert (Mary) Walker, Thomas (Debbie), and Mrs. Alvin (Darlene) Bairnsfather. She is also cherished by her 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and her adopted son, Anthony Boteler.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road in Pass Christian, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. For more information, please call (228)586-0510.
