Rubie L. McMullan, age 91, of Long Beach, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. McMullan was a determined woman with a great sense of humor. She worked in the hospitality industry for many years and loved animals, especially dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. """"Jack"""" McMullan, Jr.; her son, Kevin McMullan; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.H. Cowart, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Lila Dye, of Gulfport, Tim McMullan, of Logansville, GA, Wilson H. McMullan, III, of Long Beach, and Jack McMullan, of Sterling, IL; her daughter-in-law, Shirley McMullan, of Bedford, OH; her brothers, Ben Cowart, Jimmy Cowart and wife Dot, and Fred Cowart; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 8 great great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
