Roy Lee Cuevas, age 67, resident of Standard Community passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
Mr. Cuevas was a retired boat captain. He enjoyed his family and friends, cooking, his race horses and other animals. He loved hunting, fishing, music and western movies.
Mr. Cuevas was preceded in death by his parents Horris Leon and Mae Deschamp Cuevas; his sister, Ruby Kowalski, and 2 daughters, Cynthia Ann Cuevas and Janet Gayle Cuevas.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Cuevas; 11 children, Cathy Ginnocchio of Mobile, AL, Rocky Cuevas of Gulfport, Belinda Strief of Dedeaux, Roy Cuevas of Pass Christian, Sonya Ladner of Necaise, Ronald Cuevas of Poplarville, Shannon Sharkey of White Cypress, Racquel Shows of Richton, Cory Cuevas, Jonathon Cuevas and Brett Cuevas of Standard, MS; his siblings, Eula Mae Ladner of Dedeaux, Jimmy Dale Cuevas of Pass Christian, Hayward """"Boots"""" Cuevas, E.J. Martin and Bruce Martin of Dedeaux; 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, Kiln-DeLisle Road in Pass Christian. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow at Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
