Rosina Inez Woodward Braud, of Long Beach, MS passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2012, at the age of 89 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a life-long resident of Long Beach and a life-long member of the Long Beach Presbyterian Church. She was the matriarch of her family, a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bertman Adam Braud, Sr.; parents, Inez and Kenneth Woodward; brothers, Kenneth ""Son"" and Guy Woodward; and sisters, Elizabeth Bell and Verna Steagall.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cyndy Emrick and husband Jim of Swedesboro, NJ, Judy Dill and husband Terry of Long Beach, MS, Rebecca Schruff Pell and husband Ken of Long Beach, MS; two sons, Bertman Adam Braud, Jr. and wife Karen of Marietta, GA and David Braud and wife Pam of Long Beach, MS; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Catherine Woodward of Long Beach, MS, Dane Hawkins and her husband James of Dutchtown, LA, Faye Bercegeay and her husband Arthur of Dutchtown, LA; brother-in-law, Purvis Braud and his companion Melvina of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Long Beach Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be held at Long Beach Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery. Because of her faithfulness, she will forever live in the memory and hearts of her family.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the following; Rose Arceneaux, her caretaker of many years; Cabrini Cadrecha, who served as her last caretaker; and to St. Joseph Hospice, all of whom were involved in her daily care during her lengthy illness. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Long Beach Presbyterian Church.
