Rose Lois Garlotte, age 93, of D'Iberville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022.
Rose was a graduate of Biloxi High School. She worked at McVaden Studio on Howard Avenue in Biloxi, Broadwater Hotel News stand, and Hand colored portraits. Rose was an avid reader who also enjoyed being an artist with oil painting and crafts. Rose was of the Methodist faith.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin Lloyd Garlotte; her parents, William Thomas Parker, and Mary Alice Seymour Parker; siblings, Thomas Parker, Edward Parker, Thelma Holloway, Carrie Hawkins, Bruce Parker, and Norwin Feranda. Rose is survived by her children, Lisa Elizabeth Dobson (Dennis), William Lamar Garlotte, Mary Evelyn Young, Virginia “Ginny” Louise Garlotte, and Thomas Verlin Garlotte; her grandchildren, Terrell Lloyd Garlotte (Gidget), Nicole Rae Mclemore (Justin), Angela Rose Stokes (Jack), Jason Lee Dobson (Chanel), Loren Gray Young (Heather), Brandon Oliver Young, Elizabeth Rose Allen (Nathan), Bartholomew Lamar Garlotte (Rachael Wood); and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 1 - 2 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, West Jackson County. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
