Rose DuShane Cowan, age 69 of Biloxi, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. She was originally from Meridian but considered Biloxi her home after relocating in 2001 to be with her “grandbabies”.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Minnie Collins; her maternal grandfather, Coleman Collins; and her mother, Marie Collins Taylor.
Rose is survived by her husband of 46+ years, Melvin Cowan, Jr.; her sons, Melvin Cowan III, and Mark Cowan; her grandchildren, Dylan Cowan, Abigail Cowan, Tabitha Cowan, Alexis Cowan, Ian Cowan, Alex Cowan, Evan Cowan; her great grandsons, Ashton Cowan and Zane Tidwell; and her siblings, Charles McBride, Tanya Townsend, Candise Brown, and Shay Hollingsworth.
She was retired from Bell South/AT&T and a long-time attendee of Cedar Lake Assembly. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ, her husband, her boys, her “grands”, and, of course, her multitude of friends! She had a passion for cooking, traveling, hiking the trails of the Smoky Mountains, cruising, etc.
