Rosalie Penland

Rosalie Penland, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in Gulfport. She was born and raised in Hartford, WI. She graduated from the St. Therese Hospital School of Nursing in Waukegan, IL as registered nurse in 1954. She practiced nursing until her retirement in 2000. Rosalie was always fun loving, enjoyed a good story and laugh. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy Algiers; husband, John ""Jack"" Penland; daughter, Judith Penland Webber; granddaughter, Jaclyn Webber; brothers, Norbert and Lawrence Algiers; sister, Mary Algiers Ohrmund.
She is survived by daughters, Mary Penland Speyrer, Kathleen Penland Keel and Patrice Penland Madigan; brothers, Dr. James Algiers and Charles Algiers; grandchildren, Alan Speyrer, Leah Speyrer Spilling, David Webber, Dr. Murray E. Keel, III, Abigail Keel, Isaac Keel, Rebecca Keel and Thomas Madigan; great-granddaughters, Allie Speyrer, Abbie Speyrer and Gwen Spilling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport. A visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport served the family.
