Better known to his family as ‘Lil Ron’. Born March 6, 1970 in Pascagoula, MS, passed away suddenly, June 27, 2023, at his home in Lucedale with his longtime girlfriend of 11 years (Tina Smothers), by his side.
He was a lifetime resident of Ocean Springs who never got to far from the water. Always with a fishing pole in his hand. He loved the little town of OS and never lost sight of the beauty surrounding him. He was a friend to everyone he met, and if you met him, you loved him. Ronnie was a quiet and easy going man who found happiness in the simple things in life. His family, fishing, 4 wheeling and his boat, were among his favorites. Whether he was pulling bass out the Pascagoula River in his back yard, or fishing the Gulf, with his best friend and brother, Brandon, he was in his “happy place”.
Ronnie loved his girls, Leah Saundry, and Allie Holder and his 5 grandchildren, Isabella, Cooper, Clayton, Winsley and McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Laura Howell and Paul and Lois Morano.
Ronnie leaves behind to cherish his memory, Ronald and Carolyn Morano, his daughter, Leah Saundry and her children, Isabella and Cooper, and his daughter, Allie Holder (Jared) and their children, Clayton, Winsley and McKinsey; his favorite brother and best friend, Brandon Morano and his wife Jennifer and their children, Ronnies favorite nephews Brandon Jr., BB and Keaton; longtime girlfriend and companion, Tina Smothers; many, many, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who loved him dearly and will miss him immensely.
'Lil Ron's passing is our greatest loss, but our love for him and the wonderful memories we have will forever be in our hearts.
