The Precious Memories of Ronald "Ron" Daughdrill

Ronald E. “Ron” Daughdrill, age 77, passed away on February 22, 2022 in Gulfport.

He was a longtime resident of Long Beach, and graduated from Southern Mississippi (USM) with a Business Degree.  He was a member of the Air Force Reserves, retired from working as Plant Manager at Stuffed Shirt in Slidell, LA after 30 Years, and was a school bus driver at Long Beach School System after 10 years.

He is preceded in death by parents, Herschel Monroe Daughdrill and Louise Strahan Daughdrill; sister, Gloria Kirkman (Ira), Nelda Mills (Rick), Margaret Ann Daughdrill; and brothers, Glyndol Daughdrill and Harlon Daughdrill.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Joane Hendrix Daughdrill of Long Beach; two children, Ron Daughdrill (Julie) of Saucier and Carol Donaldson (Mike) of Lizana; three grandchildren, Cole Donaldson (Ellen), Kasey Donaldson and D.K. Donaldson; great-grandson, Emmett Donaldson; one brother Don Daughdrill (Diane) of Brooklyn, MS; sister-in-law, Linda Daughdrill; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was a lifetime member of Wolf Creek Hunting Club, the #1 Fan of Pearl River Community College Baseball, South Alabama Baseball, and St. Martin Basketball and Softball.  He served as a Deacon at Antioch Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. with funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Rd. Long Beach, MS 39560. Burial will follow at Carnes Cemetery, 1200 Carnes Road Lumberton, MS.

Serving as his pallbearers are Cole Donaldson, Kasey Donaldson, DK Donaldson, Hunter Bullen, Ryan Bland, Eric McCoy, and Toby Bullen.
