Ronald Thomas

MSGT Ronald A. Thomas, US Army, Ret, age 83, of Diamondhead, died Friday, July 2, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Kiln and served in the Navy before joining the US Army where he retired after 26 years of service. He served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Following retirement, he taught school at Hancock High School and Bay High School. He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed photography, baseball, camping, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Christopher Thomas and Rachel Shifalo Thomas, and a sister, Bobbie Armstrong.
Survivors include his son, Blaine Thomas, 2 grandchildren, Rudy Darian and B.J. Thomas, 1 brother, Charles Thomas, 3 sisters, Gwen Passio, Myra Albritton, and Bonnie Holley.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 10 aÌ‚â‚"" 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian. The funeral service will begin at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Bayou CoCo Cemetery.
