Ronald Wayne Strahan., age 71, of Pass Christian, passed away on December 13, 2019. He was a native of Bogalusa, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aslin and Genevia Strahan; his son, Ronald Len Strahan; and his brother, Walter Strahan.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marselene Strahan; his children, Karen Robertson (Chris), Amey Pickett (Bryan), and Sharon Rowan (Greg); his siblings, James Strahan, Dorothy Jackson (Jimmy); his sister-in-law, Sandy Strahan; his grandchildren, Kiersten Daniel, Kimberly Robertson, Christopher Robertson, Kayla Pickett, Allison Pickett, Megan Rowan, and Joshua Rowan; his great grandchild due February 2020, Claire Elizabeth Daniel; and other relatives and friends.

At age 18, Ronald placed his salvation in Jesus; at age 19, he promised his heart to his bride; at age 21, he held his newborn son after returning from war; at age 28, he spoke “duck” to babies, changed diapers, bandaged knees, napped with toddlers, and made Saturday morning breakfast a tradition; at age 31, he welcomed his 4th pumpkin; at age 38, he rolled three daughters’ straight wet hair before bed; at age 42, he wrote countless letters from Korea; at age 47, he was named “Pappaw”; at age 49, he buried his first born and only son; at age 50, he became a retired soldier; at ages 42, 45, & 59, he blessed his daughters’ marriages and welcomed his sons-in-law to the family; at age 61, he cheered marathon runs; at age 65, he enjoyed his beloved grands on the beach; at age 71, he was looking forward to meeting his first great granddaughter. At every age he knew zero strangers; he encouraged, humbly led, and showed amazing grace. He was adored and respected by his soldiers. He loved his wife to no end. He drank a large diet Dr. Pepper with extra ice from Sonic; tended his immaculate yard; never gave up; and made his family’s interests his interests. At age 71, he went home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Monday, December 23, 2019, at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
