Ronald Lee Soder, born on June 2, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio, passed away on February 2, 2019 in D'Iberville, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruth Soder; brother, Eddie Joe, and one daughter, Sharon Parke.
Ron departs this life leaving behind his wife of 48 years, Nancy Soder; his children, Jerold Soder, Jeffrey Soder, James Soder (Andrea), Sabrina Strickland (David); his son in law Richard Parke; ten grandchildren, Christopher and Jamie Chace, Andrew Weissert, Tanner Parke, Amanda and Janelle Soder, Joclyn and Cory Martin, Lindsey Moseley and Jacob Soder.
Ron Graduated from an all boy's high school Chaminade in Dayton, he joined the US Air Force and took basic training at Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva, NY. He served in Libya, Thailand, Germany and numerous bases in the U.S. He retired as a Senior Master Sargent after 24 years. He then went to work for 10 years with the civil service.
He played Racquetball for many years and was an avid golfer (until last year), a reader and used the local library regularly. He was a great family man who loved to cook for all and loved playing Mexican Domino's. He will be missed by all who knew him. May God Bless and Keep Him.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. with visitation for friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd at Washington Ave. in West Jackson County.
