Ronald Wesley Smith

Dr. Ronald W. ""Doc"" Smith D.C.P.A., passed away August 27, 2012 at the age of 65.
He was born in Homestead, FL on May 15, 1947 to Dr. Hubert Wesley Smith & Mrs. Etheleen Clenney Smith. He married Violet Irene Shirley on July 2, 1968 in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Logan Chiropractic College on September 14, 1974. The proud father of David Wesley Smith born 1970 and Anastasia ""Stacey"" Irene Smith/Dickens born 1979.
Doc worked with Dr. H. W. Smith (Father) from '74- '77 (West Clinic), then opened Smith Chiropractic Clinic 0711 Pass Rd. Gulfport, MS from May '77-87 then moved his office to 14433 Dedeaux Rd. Orange Grove (GPT), MS from '87-08.
Dr. Smith was an avid Sportsman in Archery-Percy Quinn Park Competitions, State Champion 3 years consecutively by compound bow, and Hunter-blackpowder weapons and all around/all seasons. He was also a fisherman of all waters and an accomplished scuba diver. Dr. Smith was a fixed wing pilot as well as an Aerobatic Aviator taking Silver Medal in Aerobatic Competitions. He loved and enjoyed Harleys and vintage hotrods. ""Doc"" was a blessed and talented Chiropractor. He will be missed by his family, friends, and many patients.
Survived by his son, D.W. Smith and Mrs. C. Trippe Smith; his daughter A.I. Smith/Dickens; his grandchildren Thomas, Victoria, and Cortland. Also survived by his mother E.C. Smith; his sisters, Mary Ellen & Catherine; his uncles, Jerril Robert & Janice Clenney; and his ex-wife, V. I. Smith. He was preceded in death by Grandfather George W. Smith and his father Hubert W. Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, MS. A visitation will be held for friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home prior to services.
