Ronald Rerko

Ronald (Ron) Rerko, 83, beloved husband of Emily (Martinka) passed away peacefully on March 13 in Gulfport, MS.

Devoted father of Ronald (Carol), Donald (Jennifer), Dr. David (Mary), Bryan (Colleen) and Kevin; grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 3; brother of Kenneth (Carole), Rosemary Grace, and the late Agnes DelGrosso (Pat) and Andrew (Joan); and uncle to many dear nephews and nieces.

His mother and father Andrew and Mary Rerko started Elmwood Bakery in Lakewood, OH, where he learned the meaning of hard work, which he passed along to all of his children. Ron was an avid lover of the outdoors and physical activities. He was a respected football player for St. Edward High School (1956), bowler, a powerful ice skater, and swimmer throughout life. He loved bicycling on the beach, especially after he moved his family to Daytona Beach. Ron was a successful, highly-skilled draftsman who always had business due to the perfection of his craft. He was a faithful child of God and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He acknowledged that he had a very blessed, rich life. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten because he has filled so many hearts and minds with loving memories. Rest in Peace with God dear Husband, Dad and Grandpa.
