Ronald Owen

Ronald Nelson Owen "Ronnie", age 68, passed away on August 13, 2018 in Diamondhead, MS.
He was born in Poplarville, MS and has lived all over Mississippi over the years. He was a resident of Diamondhead but formerly of Jackson. He was a musician and played piano and lead vocal in The Owen Brothers Band. He was also an avid golfer, and a member of Diamondhead United Methodist Church. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed watching the Saints and Braves play.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Owen and Versie Tabb.
He is survived by his wife, Rochelle Stanley Owen of Diamondhead, formerly of Jackson, MS; three children, Jennifer Owen of Chapel Hill, NC, Chrissie Anderson (Mike) of Holly Springs, NC, Ronnie Owen, Jr. (Danielle) of Jacksonville, FL; three step-children, Jennifer Necaise of Bay St. Louis, Blake Stanley (Erica) of Madison, MS, Anna Margaret Stanley of Madison, MS; nine grandchildren, Nick Britt, Noah Moretz, Luke Anderson, Cate Anderson, Julia Owen, Nathan Owen, Carley Alsup, Ryan Stanley, and Maggie Stanley; three brothers, Jerry Owen, Steve Owen, and Michael Owen; three sisters, Marcia Lumpkin, Susie Patterson, and Laura Reed; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1 PM at Diamondhead United Methodist Church, 5305 Noma Drive Diamondhead, MS. Visitation will be held one-hour prior at the church.
