Ronald Frey

Ronald Jay Frey, 88 of Gulfport passed from this world on June 8, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Mary Pitoniak Frey, his brother Arnold, his son Kyle and the mother of his children Margaret .
He is survived by his heartbroken wife of 35 years, Jean , his son Kevin and wife Alison Frey, his son John Paul and wife Kellie Nicholson, and his daughter Molly and husband Alan Szaflarski ,as well as his sister-in-law Kelley Wellborn. 
He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Bradley and wife Tiffany Frey, Brandy Frey, Robert Becher, Taylor Becher, Patrick Szaflarski and partner Nozomi , Heather and husband John Swenton ,  Kristen Williams,  Alexander, Douglas and Collin Nicholson, as well as his 8 great-grandchildren, Kailyn, Dylon, Kaydence, Kylee, Ethan, Serinity, Eleanor and Harrison.  
Ron retired in 1992 from IBM after 33 years as an Advisory level Manufacturing Engineer.  He was proud to be a U. S. Marine, serving 2 years in the Philippines.  He was also ‘father’ to two kitties, Boo and Moo, who miss him terribly. He was an exceptionally talented amateur photographer and in his later years enjoyed building 1/35 scale WWII German tanks and there was nothing invented by man he could not fix!
