Mr. Ronald A. Cuevas, age 62, resident of Gulfport, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mr. Cuevas graduated from Pass Christian High School in 1964, and enjoyed gardening, working out at the gym, and traveling. He was an educated student of the Bible, member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi, where he served as Eucharistic Minister and Usher. He prayed with the sick and especially those who were burned that were in need of healing. He was a quality control manager for Carlisle Industries, managed the dry cleaning department at Gulf Coast Laundry, and was an associate at Wal-Mart in the softlines department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeVander E., Sr. and Elizabeth Sims Cuevas; and niece, Dawn Elizabeth Brogdon.
He is survived by son, Brent Anthony Cuevas of Pass Christian; two granddaughters, Brittnie Marie Cuevas of Kiln, and Courtney Nichole Cuevas of Pass Christian; lifetime partner, Ronnie L. Sellers of Gulfport; brother, LeVander E. Cuevas, Jr. and his wife Annie Mae of Pass Christian; four sisters, Lydia J. (Virgil J., Deceased) Cuevas of Gulfport, Mary Elizabeth Brogdon and her husband Otis V. of Pass Christian, DeLores Ann Mason of Phoenix, AZ, and Pauline Cuevas of Memphis, TN; and nine nephews, one niece, eighteen great nieces and nephews, and four great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may call from 5-8 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport.
