Ronald Cook

Mr. Ronald Gene Cook, age 70, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.

Ronald was born May 30, 1950, in Springdale, Arkansas, the son of the late Fred Webb Cook and Evelyn Marie Bixler. He was a graduate of Gulfport East High School and attended both Tarrant County and Weatherford Junior College, studying criminal justice. He also served in the United States Navy. He retired from both the Tarrant County Sheriff Department and Hood County Sheriff Department, where he was a Master Jailer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and an accomplished artist.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Charles Cook.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Cook; one son, Daniel Cook; his brother-in-Law, Michael Clayton; three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Bailey (Fred), Fay Trieste, and Tracy Pauley (Jeffery); his four brothers, Jimmy Cook (Darlene), Paul Cook (Teresa), Robert Cook (Susan), and Dean Cook (Rhonda); his three sisters, Judy Gaston (Michael), Arlene LoBianco (Freddie), and Joyce Stelly (Stephen); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Visitation for Ronald will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Stephen Stelly officiating.
