Roland J. """"Smithy"""" Smith, age 73 of Saucier, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Smith served in the United States Army, with two tours of duty in France and one tour of duty in Germany. He retired as an Army Medic after 20 years of service.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Meridith and Linn Richardson Smith and his wife, Jeanne Smith.
He is survived by his two brothers, Dourl (Helen) Smith of Hattiesburg and Jimmy (Marie) Smith of Milton, FL; his two sisters, Audrey (Kenneth) Garner of Gulfport and Gertrude Tanner of Austin, TX and five nephews and five nieces.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 10:00am at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
