Roland Barrilleaux

Roland Joseph ""Joe"" Barrilleaux, Sr, age 87, of Kenner, LA, formerly of Ocean Springs, passed away on September 26, 2011 in Kenner.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Barrilleaux, and a granddaughter, Jennifer.
He is survived by his children, Roland J. Barrilleaux, Jr (Earleen) of Metairie, LA, Brenda Ann B. Meyer of Metairie, LA, and Sidney P. Barrilleaux (Edeltraud) of Poplarville; six grandchildren, Bryan, Donna, Crystal, Kenneth, Katherine, and Jeannette; four great grandchildren, Megan, Daisy, Kenneth Jr., Sal Jr.; and a brother, Robert Barrilleaux of Biloxi.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, and worked in civil service at Kessler Air Force Base where he retired. An avid hunter, he was a loving person and was known as ""Candyman"" to his many friends in Ocean Springs.
A funeral service with military honors will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, with a visitation from Noon until 1:00 PM.
