Roger Lee Ladner a native of Long Beach, and longtime resident of Pass Christian, MS, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 in Gulfport, MS at the age of 67.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvis and Helen Ladner; his grandparents, Salvador (Jim) and Victoria Ladner and Tilton and Georgian Shavers; his great nephew, Tristen Bennett; and his god child, Donald Wayne (Smiley) Simmons.
Roger loved horseback riding, hunting, dog training, watching T.V. and hanging out with his buddies and family. His employment history included working for Dedeaux Packing Co., The City of Long Beach, Anchor Glass and Diamondhead Country Club Golf Course. Roger was of the Catholic Faith.
"Rogie" as he was affectionately called, is survived by his siblings, Ronnie Ladner (Joan), Judy Dubuisson (Blu), and Karen Dubuisson (Steven); nieces and nephews, Brad (Latisha), Tina (Ryan), Tiffany (Jimmy Ray), Brent (Haley), Angie (Chris), Josh (Jennifer), Shelly (Heath), Vicki (Barrett), Tara (Chuck), Ashley (Chris), Tyler (Moriah), Brittney, Brennan, Madison, Christian, Brooklen, Adrian, Jenna, Kelsie, Connor, Braeson, Dylan, Taylor, Caitlin, Chloe, Waylon, Levi, Aiden, Brian, Gavin, Ryleigh,Bryce, Saige, Brylin, Wyatt, Savannah, Skylir, and his little buddy Westyn; his god children, Shelly, Kirk, and Shawn; and his lifelong friend, brother and partner in crime, Phil Cuevas.
The family would like to thank Fresenius Kidney Care of Diamondhead; the staff at Encompass Health, Select Specialty, Driftwood Nursing Home/Rehab, Kare in Home Hospice and the staff at Memorial Hospital, especially Dr. Jalal, Dr. Baroudi and Dr. Sergio Barrios for the kindness and tender care given to Roger during his illness.
Visitation for friends will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road and again on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., when a procession will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Catholic where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Father Patrick Mockler as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ladner, Josh Dubuisson, Brad Ladner, Brent Ladner, Heath Mitchell, Kirk Ladner, Tyler Pavolini, Chuck Shaw, levi Mitchell, Bryce Dubuisson, Brennan Ladner, Christian Bourgeois. Mr. Phil Cuevas will serve as honorary pall bearer.
