Rodney L. ""Bud"" Mansfield, age 72, of Pascagoula, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
""Bud"" was a life long resident of the coast and was a 1956 graduate of Moss Point High School, a graduate of Perkinston Junior College, and a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was employed as a Computer Engineer over 40 years at Ingalls Shipbuilding. He enjoyed computers, reading, and spending time at the library.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn E. Mansfield, and his grandparents, William R. and Hattie Mansfield.
Survivors include his uncle, Henry H. Ping, numerous cousins, and his special friends from MPHS Class of 1956.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday at the Helena Presbyterian Church, 10401 Saracennia Road, Moss Point, where friends may visit from 10:00 - 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery.
