Rodney Alvin Davis, Jr., age 90 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Sunday, October 10, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mr. Davis was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in the 3rd Armored Spearhead Division. He was a Mason and of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney, Sr. & Nettie Taquino Davis; his wife, Delores Conn Davis; his son, Rodney A. Davis, III and his sister, Cloris Davis Pond.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Davis Rippy of Gulfport, Cindy Davis (Matt) Dubuisson of Pass Christian; his brother, Theodore E. (Alice) Davis of Pontchatoula, LA; his grandchildren; J.D. (JoDee) Rippy, Brian (Tracy) Rippy, Meagan Dubuisson, and Madison Dubuisson and his great grandchildren, A.J. Rippy and Morgan Rippy.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at 2:30pm at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
