Roblen """"Rob"""" Smith, age 62, of Gulfport, passed away on February 24, 2010 in Gulfport.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Toni, and his daughter, Anna, both of Gulfport; his daughter, Dana, and his sons, Eric and Barrett, all of Tucson, AZ; his brother, Lee (Beverly) of Athens, AL; his sisters, Lucia Landers of Pelham, AL and Holly (Dick) Watson of Shreveport, LA; his grandson, Brandon, of Tucson; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved morkie, Lola.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Vietnam War as an air traffic controller. Rob was employed as an independent insurance broker with Keesler Insurance Services and at the Biloxi VA Medical Center. He received his B.S. degree from Troy State University in 1978.
He was a charter member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Alabama Alumni Association, member of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association, served as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for Gulf Coast Federal Credit Union, and was a former member of the Krewe of Gemini. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL.
Rob loved his family and friends, and fishing and arrowhead hunting. He was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimsom Tide.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, where family and friends may visit from 2:00 PM until service time. Burial with military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
