Robin Ladner

d. December 17, 2009

Robin Hodges Ladner, age 58, left this earth to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at her home in Gulfport, MS.
Born in Hattiesburg and raised in Gulfport, Robin graduated from Harrison Central High School and then furthered her education at Perkinston College. Robin worked as a paralegal for various law firms before retiring in 1991 from the Federal Probation System. She was also co-owner of a family construction business in Gulfport.
She faithfully attended and was active part of Campground Baptist Church. Robin's life is a beautiful testament to the power of the human spirit. Allowing nothing to stand in between her and the life she loved, Robin fought a remarkable twenty year battle with Scleroderma. With an unforgettable laugh, a warm sense of humor, and an amazing smile, Robin always lived life to its fullest. Because of her great love of music, she liked to think of herself as """"Rocking Robin"""".
A talented basketball player and softball player, she was known for her enthusiasm and passion for the game. Full of courage and strength, Robin was a beautiful gift to her family and friends. She always focused on the needs of her family and strived to bring forth great happiness. Her vivacious spirit and gracious ways were blessings to everyone she touched. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Although Robin's physical presence is no longer with us, her enduring spirit and the legacy she leaves behind will inspire and comfort her family and friends until they meet with her again.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents, W.H.(Dub) and Doris Hodges.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kirk L. Ladner; children, Chris G. Ladner (Kelley), Erika Ladner-Peterson (Troy); nephews, Damon Ladner (Anita), Brandon Ladner (Chasity); four grandchildren, Dylan, Brooke, Bailey and Madeline; sisters, Toni Hodges Dutruch and Judy Hodges Thomas (Jim); nephews, Jack Thomas and Jimmy Thomas. She also leaves behind many friends that she had cherished for a lifetime.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Scleroderma Foundation or Camp Ground Baptist Church 20577 Hwy 53, Gulfport, MS.
