Mrs. Roberta """"Robbie"""" Wilson, age 49, resident of Pass Christian, passed away at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 09, 2009, after a long battle with breast cancer.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Harlingen, TX and moved to the Coast in high school. She was a former employee at Stuffed Shirt in Long Beach. After raising her family, she went to work at Sartin's Drugs in Gulfport where she had worked for the last 10 years. She was very involved in her church, Highland Baptist Church, where she was Sunday School Director, Sunday School Teacher, and member of the choir. Church members will also remember her for her homemade biscuits. She enjoyed cooking, baking and learning new recipes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Garrison, and her stepmother, Bea Garrison.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Danny Wilson of Pass Christian; mother, Nina Nixon of Combus, TX; children, Bryan Wilson (Faith) of Florence, CO, Samantha Wilson of Pass Christian, and Cory Wilson of Pass Christian; brother, Sammy Garrison of San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, where friends may visit from 6-10 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Highland Baptist Church, 8400 Firetower Rd, Pass Christian, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
