Roberta VanCourt, age 86 of Gulfport, passed away on January 4, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lorena Brewster; her father, Robert VanCourt, Sr.; her mother, Mary Agnes Abbley; two sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Mercedes VanCourt-Dunham; and her brothers, Robert VanCourt, Jr. and Richard VanCourt.
She was employed as a switchboard operator at Southern Bell, Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, and Holiday Inn. Her favorite pastime was working crossword puzzles.
Being a native of Pass Christian, she loved the city and truly missed it when she was forced to move after Hurricane Katrina. She attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Pass Christian.
