Roberta Caroline Bahr Brooks, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went home to our Lord on May 14, 2023, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was 87.
Roberta was born on December 17, 1935, in Kalispell, Montana to Robert and Caroline Bahr. She was raised in Bigfork, where she grew up with her siblings. Roberta graduated with the class of 1954 from Bigfork High School and, in 1979 she graduated from American Beauty College in Gulfport. She worked as a hairdresser until she retired. She was a resident of Perkinston, MS and was a member of Poplar Head United Methodist Church. Roberta enjoyed canning, quilting, and sewing. She treasured the time she spent traveling the country with Russell. She was an avid patriot who loved her country dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Master Chief Russell A. Brooks, USN, Retired; children, Clark L. Richardson, Vicki L. Richardson (Sally), and Louis E. Richardson; grandchildren, Julie R. Lott (Jared), Sarah M. Sharp (Ryan), Heather E. Necaise (Ron), and Michael G. Richardson(Kacie); great-grandchildren, Laurel R. Sones, Noah M.A. Richardson, and Ryker S. Sharp; as well as her sisters in law, JoAnn Bahr, June Bahr, and Shirley Brantley; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Her passing leaves us saddened but we find comfort in knowing that Roberta is now resting in peace and reunited with her devoted parents Robert and Caroline Bahr; and her siblings, Walter Bahr, Stephen Bahr, Mildred Storie and Eleanor Bahr.
