SMSgt Robert D. """"Sonny"""" Wilson, age 72, of Biloxi, passed away on July 29, 2008 in Alabaster, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas M. Wilson and Mildred Wilson; and his brother, Ronald D. Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ruth Wilson, of Biloxi; his children, Harold Koehler and his wife, Mary, of Monroe, LA, Robert L. Wilson and his wife, Catherine, and Donald G. Wilson, all of Biloxi, and Elizabeth Marlowe and her husband, Joey, of Ocean Springs; his grandchildren, Melissa Brunn, Jason Koehler, Meagan Bihn, Chelsea Marlowe, Jennifer Bordelon, Brian Pietz, Kevin Pietz, Ronald Pietz, Greg Pietz, and Amy Scott; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Brunn, Mattox Hart, Sophia Hart, and Josephine Koehler.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he retired from the U.S. Air Force after 24 years as a Senior Master Sergeant and worked in Civil Service at Keesler AFB in electronic warfare.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 2:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
