It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Milton Williamson announce his passing. Robert passed in Biloxi, Mississippi at the age of 99 years old on December 28th, 2023. Born in 1924 to Fayette and William Williamson. Robert was a native of New Mexico and lived there for most of his life with his wife Billy Jean Williamson, whom he wed in 1942. In his 99 years, Robert lead a very fulfilling life. A World War II Veteran, he was a third-class aviation fire control man for the US Navy. After honorable discharge from the Navy, Robert worked at the Chino Mining Company in Grant County, New Mexico for many years. Outside of Work, Robert enjoyed taking long walks and participated in the retired senior volunteer program after retirement from the mining company. He and his wife also enjoyed riding motorcycles and leather working.
Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife, Billy Jean; his brother, William Williamson; his niece, Joyce A. Acosta; and grandchildren, William Edward Williamson, and Cindy Bissett-Williamson.
Robert is survived by his son Billy Williamson (Gwen); his granddaughter, Glenda A. Mooney (Jim); his great grandson, Douglas Steller (Maria); his great granddaughter, Brindy Bisset; his great-great granddaughter, Fionna; two nephews, Dennis L. Bailey and Robert W. Helton.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS).
