Robert "Poochie" Tartavoulle, age 76, a resident of Waveland, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Poochie served in the local law enforcement for Hancock County Sheriff's Office and Waveland Police Department. He retired after 25 years as assistant Chief of Police.
Mr. Tartavoulle was preceded in death by his Parents, Samuel and Alvirta Tartavoulle; brothers, Terry and Norman; and sisters, Violet, Florence, Inez, Linda and Arlene.
Poochie is survived by his wife of 22 years, Sandra Henley Tartavoulle of Waveland; children, Hope (David) Harris, and Amy (Buddy) Bourn, all of Waveland; grandchildren, Ryan, Alexandria, Devon and Nicholas Proulx, Malori Bourn, all of Waveland, and Kade Bourn of Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchild, Addyson Proulx of Waveland; his favorite niece and nephew, Misty and Trevor Ellington of Waveland; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank everyone for your calls, texts, thoughts, and prayers.
Private services will be held at a later date.
