Mr. Robert Gary Schombert, age 63, resident of Woolmarket, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011.
Mr. Schombert was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He served his country during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. He owned his own nursery in CA, Alexandria, LA, and in Woolmarket. He also worked as a chef for the Salvation Army for 28 years. He was a member of Cedar Lake United Methodist Church.
Mr. Schombert was preceded in death by his parents, George Yaste Schombert and Joye Barefoot Schombert.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Schombert of Woolmarket, and his daughter, Ciana.
Funeral services will be held at Cedar Lake United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to services. Burial will be at a later date.
