Robert Ralph Russo

Robert Ralph Russo, age 84, born Nov. 10, 1925 in Amsterdam, NY to James and Pauline Russo, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, in Plaino, TX.
Former husband of Dorothy Voelkel Russo and the late Barbara Perkins Russo; father of Barbara Russo Woods, and Paula Russo; father-in law of Mikeal S. Woods; grandfather of Gina Amerongen, Jennifer Kutash, Kristi Esser, and Mikeal Woods; great-grandfather of Chance Rutherford, Kirsten Amerongen, Kaitlyn Amerongen, Michael Woods, Klaire Esser and Ashley Quarles.
Mr. Russo served in the U.S. Coast Guard, during WWII. He was a Mason and member of Dante Lodge 174 in New Orleans, member of American Legion #119 in Gulfport, and Shriner of Joppa Temple in Biloxi.
Visitation will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Biloxi on Sunday Dec. 27, 2009 from 1pm until 2pm, Service will be held at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be on Monday, Dec. 28 at 2:30pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the America Legion Post 119 which was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
