Robert R Riggs

Robert R. Riggs, age 75, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on August 16, 2024 Born on June 11, 1949, in San Bernardino, California, Robert proudly served in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to his country and community.

Robert was a dedicated general contractor, known for his expertise and integrity in the field. He earned a finance degree from Cal Poly Pomona, which laid a strong foundation for his successful career. Beyond his professional life, he was passionate about mentoring friends and family, particularly in building projects, sharing his knowledge and experience generously.

He was not only accomplished in his career but also in athletics, having been recognized as an All-American Water Polo Player in 1968. His competitive spirit was complemented by a love for various sports, including golf, tennis, water polo, and scuba diving. Robert cherished the outdoor activities that brought him joy, and he valued the connections he formed through these hobbies.

Robert is survived by his partner of 13 years, Kaye Katsis; son Jared Robert Riggs; daughters Julia Erin Bravo (Michael Brendan Bravo) and Kathleen Kay Riggs; sister Joan Riggs Wright; and grandchild Wren Erin Bravo. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Riggs, and his mother, Gloria Mae Johnson Riggs.

Robert will be remembered for his warm demeanor, the deep connections he fostered with his loved ones, and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His legacy of kindness and mentorship will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
