Robert Phillips

Mr. Robert L """"Bob"""" Phillips, age 77, resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, August 20, 2007, in Gulfport.
Mr. Phillips was a native of Laurel, MS and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After military service, he worked at Keesler Air Force Base as a Corrosion Controller. He was an avid fisherman and loved music. He played piano and sang and was totally devoted to his church. He was a member of Promiseland Church of God in Gulfport where he served on the Pastor's Council. He provided essential services in the preparation and conduct of worship services.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie T. and Amanda Phillips. He is survived by his brother, W.B. """"Bill"""" Phillips of Gulfport; his sisters, Colleen Witt of Gulfport, and Kathleen and Charles McCann of Gulfport; and his nieces and nephews, Phyllis McCann Hollins of Perkinston, Cheryl McCann Deas of Dallas, GA, and Chuck McCann of Tallahassee, FL.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may call from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
